New! The Massachusetts Pistol License Course has been certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (LTC-020) as meeting the training requirements for both a pistol license (LTC) and a rifle/shotgun license (FID).
Course Goal - To teach the knowledge, skill and legal requirements necessary to own, handle and use a firearm safely. The course includes information on Massachusetts requirements for licensing, storage and transportation.

This course is presented in a classroom environment, and can be done at your suitable location for private groups. It is also a segment of the Multi-License course.
An optional live fire session, approved by the State as a course addendum, can be added upon request. Contact us for details.
Upon Successful Completion of the Course - Participants will receive a Massachusetts Basic Firearm Safety Course Certificate (LTC-020) pursuant to M.G.L. c. 140 s. 131P and 5.15 CMR 3.00. This certificate meets the requirements for first-time license applicants.
Length of Course - The course takes approximately 5 hours to complete, depending upon the number of students participating and the number of questions that arise.
